ABC's of Reloading
What more can you say except this is a fundamental reference everyone should have on their book shelf if they reload ammunition.There is more here for the beginner but there is also plenty here for experienced handloaders.I am glad I finally have this reference to use.

Very good for anybody interested in getting into reloading
I'm just getting into reloading myself, and this book came highly reccomended from a lot of my friends that are already involved in the hobby. I ordered it and read it through and I must say that it does a very good job of explaining how to set everything up and do all the steps, but also a lot of the science behind it. I learned a lot from this book and I would most definately reccomend it to anybody that wants to start reloading!!

Err...The 7th Edition of this book has been out since 2/05!
This is a thorough and excellent manual for the beginner and should be read by many of the so-called experts I've come across in the last few months. It covers handgun and rifle metallic cartridge reloading, shotshell reloading, bullet casting/swaging, and ahost of related subjects. While it doesn't have load data, it gives easily understood descriptions of the various reloading processes no matter what you're shooting.

Bible of Italian Glass
This book is awesome!I have just started collecting Murano glass and wanted a book to compare for the real thing or fake.This book was recommended by an avid collector and has become my bible. Well set out and the pictures and descriptions are extremely usefull.

Italina Glass: Century 20
As usual Lesli Pina has put together a wonderful reference for mid century glass collectors.The only comment I would make to improve this book, is that there are not price estimates with every photo.However, this is the exception as over 90% of the photos contain pricing.

Best book for General Murano Glass in the US
I strongly recommend Leslie Pina's book to collectors of Murano glass in the US. While other books have pictures of the more elite museum pieces, Leslie Pina's book has hundreds of pictures of glassware that we see most often. It is a valuable reference in learning to identify and appraise the work of the quality artisans -- Fratelli Toso, Dino Martens, Salviati, Venini, Seguso, Campanella, Cenedese, and others. Great Balance of Text & Photos
This review is for the paperback version of the book, which I loved.It has a lovely balance of terrific photos & explanations of the various sources of the featured gems.It serves as a nice beginning reference when you have heard the terms sapphire & red sapphire (huh? I thought red gems were rubys or spinels) and would like to know more about which gems are related to others.
Stunning photography; an amazing collection

DU PONT'S WINTERTHUR
Winterthur is THE finest collection of American Federal Furniture in the world, it is simply a singular collection.This book is very well conceived, the text is well researched and the images are crisp.Mr. Dupont was one of the first major collectors of American Furniture of the Federal Period, and he had a great eye for the best pieces.We are so lucky that he kept his beloved collection intact and he was generous enough to create a museum to showcase this spectacular collection and allow the public to appreciate the beauty of this amazing craftsmanship.American Federal Furniture is now some of the most expensive and sought after furnture in the world, but at the time Mr. DuPont began collecting it was not sought after at all, the wealthy wanted French Furniture, this was considered beautiful and American Federal Furniture was considered too understated, Mr. DuPont, because of who he was, really changed peoples mind on this style of furniture and we owe him a debt of gratitude for this.I recommend this book to anyone with a love for beautiful things.

Great Marble Book!
Easier to use than some of the other marble "standards." It is well organized and the values, based on the condition of the marble, arewith the marbles. Some of the other books have you constantly flipping fromback to front to find a value. The different types of antique handmademarbles are logically grouped for the most part and the machine mademarbles are divided by manufacturer.There is even a section with examplesfrom contemporary marble artists. My one complaint would be that thereshould be an index to make finding of the great many types of machine mademarbles easier. Until something better comes along, I carry this with me toauctions, flea markets, antique shows or anywhere else I think there mightbe an opportunity to buy, sell or trade marbles. ... Read more

THE OUTSTANDING 2ND EDITION!
My wife and I do have quite a few Keepsake Ornaments that we've bought over the years for each other to be placed on our Christmas Tree but we're not collectors in the true sense. But I found out full well the value of Hallmark ornaments when I found five pieces in the Frosty Friends collection at a garage sale a couple of years ago for a few bucks. These were numbers 3 through 7 in the series and those few dollars resulted in quite a tidy profit when sold at eBay. Since then we've made it a point to look out for Hallmark ornaments at garage sales and flea markets but the problem was that we really didn't know which ones were really valuable. That all changed when I got this fantastic book by Bangzoom. I have owned a lot of collectible price guides in my life and this is easily one of the best.Their fantastic original price guide has now been updated with a second edition that goes through 2006.

The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference
A must have reference for anyone seriously interested in all aspects of Fly Tying.Even though I consider myself a reasonably adequate tier, this book will provide many answers.Knowledge never comes cheap but this reference sure helps bridge the gap.

Something for your personal library
This books adds a little bit of perspective that I hadn't got elsewhere. Of course, since it was written by a European, it didn't tell you very much about how many people had protected their families by using this technology. A must have for the collector or dealer!
Gene and Cathy Florence have done an outstanding job on this book. The pictures are outstanding and an excellent source for identifying various glass pieces. The descriptions are clear and very informative. My only issue is with the prices quoted. As Internet auctions, such as eBay are now the premier source for purchasing or selling depression glass, prices are drastically lower for most items listed in this book. This is also true for other similar books by other authors as well. As on-line auction sites are now the dominant source for depression glass and other collectables, the average prices seen over time on on-line auctions must be taken into account for future values.

An educated collector is a successful collector!!
I recently purchased this book because I not only wanted to start collecting depression glass, but I wanted to know what I was talking about and also what I was buying.The photography is fantastic.The legends are priceless.The summary of each collection provides you with its' history.The valuation of the depression glass pieces allows you to make sound purchasing decisions.This book is excellent for the novice, yet invaluable for the more serious glass collector.Highly recommend!

Standard Catalog of Military Firearms
I was looking for a comprehensive guide specific to Military Firearms in order to identify and appraise weaponry. I found that unlike other price guides this one offered a higher degree of credibility due to it's titles and composition. I felt it was a great value for the price.

Just terrific great fun
The first thing to hit me was how beautiful this book is.The photographs of the thousands of collectibles are delectable.It made me want to run out and find some of this stuff, or find new things to start collecting.The author unfolds her theories about why people collect, and describes many wonderful childhood scenes of Bronx life and early collections of marbles, baseball cards, sewing kits, you name it.Adult adventures collecting all over the world, and the collecting adventures of her friends and family, are included, and make for a wonderful warm biography of a collection of collectors. The descriptions of the original uses and methods of manufacturing of various collectibles is fascinating, and it's lovely to see simple and sometimes disposable things treated with such interest and respect.The history and character of our country shine through in the old graphics and designs of postcards, matchbooks, lawn sprinklers, and countless other items, and after spending time with them in this book, I can feel more deeply what's been lost to more efficient means of production. I'll never browse a flea market or garage sale quite the same way again.It's a wonderful conversation piece, a fun book to have around for guests to peruse.It gives you permission to bring out those old shoeboxes of stuff from under your bed and show them to your pals, even though you're not a kid any more.I loved this book, it was part anthropology, part history of design, part memoir, part encyclopedia, part travelogue, all work of endearing art.

Great Book, Lots of Information!
I really like this book because the is alot if information on alot of different makers. The pictures are clear.There are alot of designers I have never heard of so this is great for me. I'm far from an expert and not a beginner so this book is good for me!

Oz-some book!!
I only have 1 complaint about this book: it needs to be updated every few years!! This Oz "reference book" is an absolute must-have for Oz fans and collectors. It's like looking through the Christmas "Wish Books" from the department stores when you were a kid, saying, "I have that......I want that......I need that...!"

Goldmine Record Album Price guide 3rd Edition.
I like the book because as opposed to some other similar books it lists the album titles along with catalog numbers. The front of the book also has discriptions of different company's record labels and what they looked like over the years. Although I think there were some things left out in some of the label descriptions. It's still a great book for any record collector. I have seen other record books over the years and this one, Well is a keeper. Now all we need is a real good book to tell us record collectors what kind of inserts and posters came in each record.

Goldmine Record Guide review
An invaluable, descriptive price guide on LPs.My #1 overall favorite!Very good for Jazz, rock and punk (obscure artists & bands). Provides three (3) prices based on condition as well. Much more definitive than Osborne's record guides but prices are not as "realistic" (averaged) as Jerry's.Only flaw is that Import and Bootleg LP information is VERY sparse - especially on Beatles, Hendrix, Jazz, and punk.Value of Beatles Vee-Jay "counterfeit's" should also be listed as some are not that terrible sounding. A truly great overall LP guide for most needs. Now if I could only find the same type of excellent price guide for Reel-to-Reel tapes........
