Great for collectors!
Wonderful paperback for Boyd Plush collectors. This book has great pictures, and identification details of all Boyd Plush. Best info for insurance purposes with original prices as well as current values. Super tool to update a database of your collection.Love it!

This is a wonderful guide for Boyd Plush collectors.This book has pictures of all plush.Also gives original prices as well as current values.There is a place to record the value of your collection for each of the pages towards the back of the guide. For the Boyds Plush collector, this book has it all
This book contains full color pictures of all Boyds plush animals up until Spring of '99. Yet, the book also informs the reader of up and coming new releases and retirements. Of the 221 pages in the book, 46 pages giveinformation about the Boyd's company and info on all the plush animals. 146pages contain the full color pics of all the Boyds plush animals and eachone's information such as height, color, year issued, year retired andcurrent value. There are 4 pages to list your collection of Boyds animalsand write in their market value. 14 pages list info about furniture andaccessories for your Boyd's plush. Finally, there is an 11 page index forlooking up all the Boyds mentioned in the book. With an alphebeticallisting of all the names of the animals, and separate catagories such asBears, Cats, and Hares, it takes just minutes to find exactly what plushyou are looking for. Buy if you HAVE to.
All in all, this book was just plain good. I was disappointed with it though. The prices were very inaccurate for the time. I urge you to look at other books.

As a beginning beaniologist, this was a great first read..
While it is impossible to keep prices current, as a starter beanie collector, I found this guide a useful resource.I still refer to it as I make my way through the mountain of plush with beans out there.I'm happy with it.. though the picture qualityfor some of the beanies could have been significantly improved.. Its worth the $15 I paid. (:o)

quality of pictures poor
Frankly, I was disappointed in this book.It hassome good information, but the quality of the pictures is very poor.Many of them are out of focus or too far away and look very amateurish.Also, the prices for the Beanies seem out of date.I wish I could get Righty for $110.00. ... Read more

A GREAT TEDDY BEAR REFERENCE

A very useful reference of what items were valuedat in 1993.Offers values on American, British and German bears & toys.A lot of good information onthe American brand of North American Bear Co. with the VIBand Vanderbear collections.Useful information on Steiff, Schuco Toy Co.and even Raggady Ann and Andy Dolls! Brings back horribly painful memories
I blew every last penny of my life-savings on this godforsaken fad.To add insult upon injury, I bought this book hoping it would rescue me from my lonely world of debt and failed marriages.Boy, was I wrong.Had I known that the Beanie Babies were destined to travel the same road as the Pet Rock and Crystal Pepsi, perhaps I would have reconsidered these careless financial decisions. If Ty is really suing he should back off
This ia a great idea and I view it as a different product entirely from BBs, which are stuffed toys. If Ty is suing, I wish he would back off.

Like Being a Kid Again
This book is essentially a photo album of Teddy Bears - no words, just wonderful pictures.The bears are dressed and posed for a variety of situations, such as camping outdoors in a tent, attending school, orbuilding sandcastles at the beach.
