Cool Pictures, Cool Book
This book has very colorful pictures and the price guide is extremely accurate.This is one of the best PEZ books ever.If you collect, get this book today!

a new cover.......wow
This is the same as all the last. Prices have changed some but they reallyarent to acurate. If you have any other edition stick with it. The onlydifference here is a few "new" pics and a newcover...whoopie....This 4th edition could have been much better but fallsway short. Only purchase this if you are brand spankn new to pez collectingor if you lost your older edition

It does what it was meant to do, and it does it very well.
This is perhaps Mr. Wells' best Star Wars book yet.It's cleverly modeled after a the type of field guide used by bird watchers.It's very small (five inches tall, four inches wide, and a little over one inch thick), and contains a great SAMPLE of full-color images on high-quality semi-gloss paper.For example, there is at least one sample images -- and usually even more -- of each card type from the original Star Wars action figure line (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Power of the Force, Droids, and Ewoks).There are also sample images of most of the new carded figures from the 1990s all the way up to 2004.And that's not all... There are sample images for dozens of other items, too! Vintage examples include loose figures, 12" figures, Topps trading cards, comic books, vehicles, playsets, lunchboxes, glasses, etc..Newer items include Lego, Hallmark ornaments, and newer trading cards, comic books, etc..

Handy little pricing guide!
This book is not as complete as "Tomart's Price Guide to Worldwide Star Wars Collectibles", but it is far more useful as a pure pricing guide than Beckett's "Official Price Guide to Star Wars Memorabilia".It's small (about 4" x 5") but contains over 500 pages, including 250 color photos.

Excellent Guide--very handy and helpful
Most Matchbox guide books are encyclopedic in size.This is the first one I've found that is easy to take with you to toy shows, garage sales, and flea markets.The photos in the book are outstanding.The helpful collecting tips are well-written and are sound advice for collectors.All in all, I'm very pleased to recommend this book.Mine already has considerable wear, and I'll probably be needing another one by Christmas (hint to family)!

Reasonably priced and useful introductory guide to collecting Matchbox models
This book is very welcome as it will increase many people's enjoyment of collecting Matchbox models. Due to its easy availability and reasonable price it may even attract some more people to this wonderful hobby.

This book had a lot of information I was looking for but not all.

Star Wars - The Return on the Jedi....
The book is a marvelous resource of information regarding the value of virtually every Star Wars Collectible imaginable.As the author warns, it is a guidline document and so should be treated as suggestion and not absolute in the values listed.As such, it is a tremendous compendium of useful information...with a few errors.As an example, I have an item that appears to have been missed and so its value isn't addressed.There is also an entry error involving an erroneous photographic reference.And in a book this extensive, it's understandable.It is a great reference document and I am glad to have a copy.I recommend it highly!

Not that great for trading cards
Many errors in trading card section. Plus no mention what-so-ever of x-rated #207 card and also no mention of any Heritage cards ... Read more

Nice lay out!
I think this is a great book. A good selection of photos for the expert collector as well as for the beginner. Good to see reference material on items that you actually have a chance to find at a reasonable price.
It's all right.....
As a long-time collector of Japanese tin toys, I'm always eager to acquire new reference works, especially where most of the illustrations are in color. This book is ok, taking into consideration that Modern Toys Company is more or less the Budweiser of the Japanese tin toy industry. The pictures are small but quite high quality. My main reservations lie with the overwhelming number of toys from the 1970s that are pictured. As far as I am concerned, this was the nadir of their industry and most Jap tin toys made in that period are at best mediocre. They incorporate inordinate amounts of plastic, pretty crude shapes and in general are reminiscent of modern Chinese tin.

The Official Price Guide to Action Figures (2nd Ed)

Solid Little Guide with A Few Flaws
The first thing to know about the various Warman's Field Guides is that by design they are not meant to be all encompassing.If you're looking to a comprehensive guide to every Disney collectible then you will have to look elsewhere (if there is such a beast).The Warman's Field Guides are designed to be pocket-sized guides, easily able to take-along on those trips to flea markets, antique shows, or garage sales.They are meant to give an example of various types of Disney collectibles, more for the casual or new collector, than one who's a veteran.Thus you won't find every item in the book but you'll probably find pretty close approximations, enough to at least make an educated guess about an item's value.It's either that or haul around a Webster's Dictionary-sized guide.

The Unofficial Guide to Transformers 1980s to 1990s is a great book! This book maily talks about the early Transformers toys from the 1980s and 1990s. J. E. Alverz talks through the history of the Transformers when they were early Japanese Mircoman and Diaclone toys. The book has many pictures of the toys, comics, videos, and other old Transformers memorabilia. J. E. Alverz is a good writer. He tells you everthing you need to now about Transformers toys in America. He also writes about Beast Wars: Transformers toys and The Japanese Transformers figures! Buy it! Highy Recommended! J. E. Alverz writes a great Transformes coffee table book!A+

If your new to collecting Transformers get this book!
This book has it's ups and downs, the ups include,it identifys a wide range of the toys, I didn't know some of the toys existed(I'm was new to collecting when I bought the book), there's little bits of background info dotted here and there, it runs through most of G1, G2, Beast Wars and Machine Wars, The main down is it doesn't show all the toys. E.G Runabout, Runamuck,the Throttlebots and a few others are missing but not that many. If your starting a collection this is the book to get!

Disappointing.
This book is flooded with amatuerish writing, corny jokes and lots of pointless prices. I'm not looking forward to story reviews, etc. but at this price, the writer should at least include pictures of all weapons, accessories, instructions and tech specs. I'm very disappointed with the effort. I won't call it a waste of money, but I do feel shortchangedby the poor quality. Seriously, if I've his collection, I could have done something similar, if not better.Read more

This appears to be a French publication, written in English and aimed at the U.S. market.The author has written 6 books in the "collectibles" series on very diverse themes and here has drawn on the knowledge and collections of some of the best known collectors and dealers in Paris.There is little authoritative information in the text and what there is has mostly been taken from "Petits Soldats" and "CBG" by Christian Blondieau.That said, the format of the book is excellent with clear full colour pictures on every page showing predominantly French manufactures, the majority of which have have not been illustrated elsewhere.Read more

Great work book
This book had exactly what I needed to know to repair my 54-year-old doll.Although her restoration is incomplete, I feel that it gives me the knowledge to forge ahead and finish the job.
