Tractor Jokes Plow Deep Smile Furrows!
My father's family grew up on a farm in central Illinois where they raised corn, soybeans, cows and pigs.Naturally, one of the joys of being a youngster was to visit our grandfather and to crawl all over the farm equipment.While there, I remember a particular brand of humor that was both drier and more restrained than the humor I was used to in Southern California.Reading 101 Uses for an Old John Deere brought back all of those wonderful experiences for me.Read more

Nothing Like A Panhead
The most comprehensive book written on the 1948-1965 Panhead, this book is as good as his Knucklehead book. Contains an Equipment Group of Big Twin Options at the back, so you know the correct trim pieces offered each year. The author has put the Panhead motorcycle into prospective with a little history; and compared them to other great big twins of the era, the Vincent Rapides and Black Shadows (instead of comparing Harley vs. Indian). Reading the sidebars throughout this book, finds coincidence in advances made on new models, on both sides of the pond. The author is exacting when discussing any design improvements made to the big twins, and covers the changes to the Panhead year by year. The subliminal value of a Greg Field book, is that he's a technical writer and a story teller.

If you only ever buy one Panhead book - buy this one !
Greg Feld has produced a superb book here that mixes accurate detail on the Pan with wonderful period anecdotes and superb photos. Greg even manages to dig up archive information on mid-year changes and the rare P model. Harley-Davidson Panheads

Not very practical
I have an interest in vintage Honda motorcycles, so I bought this book as a reference.There were only 3 (THREE) Honda's covered! This book might make for some interesting browsing if your interest is pre-1960 (or even pre WW-II) cycles.Many different manufacturers are shown, but only a handful of each one. For the international classic-motorcycle-collector this is a comprehensive book on the different antique and classic bikes that are available in the European market, mainly in the UK. It covers mostly the known models indetail, sometimes lacking in the more popular ones. The pricing of theGuide is based on the British market but as far as I could compare to theactual values I encountered - there are differences (but that may beacceptable). The model pricing doesn't take in account the codition of thebike and in some cases its availability (and market demand), but is fair. Ifound it very useful (as the managing secretary of the Israel Classic &Collectors Vehicle Club) in aiding many of our members to value theirpurchases from abroad and while searching for finds in other Europeancountries - with a very good feedback on most parts. Nautical Antiques is a book of well described excellent photographs by an author whose qualifications are that he observed ships from the dock as a child. There is little history, context, significance or scholarship provided. See American Nautical Art and Antiques by Jacqueline Kranz (1975) for the opposite of what little Robert W. D. Excellent Photography
This book shows classic pickup bodies, some with modern engines, veryclearly.The photos are exceptionally vivid in color.The chosen trucksare highly interesting, and the settings for the photographs very wellchosen. A wonderful collection of trucks
If you like pickups from the beginning up until the 1950's, this is for you. Excellent photography, highlights some models not usually done (Diamond T, Hudson, Reo). Not what I was expecting.
The books has many companies listed and gives histories but gives a generic price range.I mainly purchased this book for 1:18 scale models and was sad to see that a roughly half of my collection is not even listed in the book.

not what i thought
This book has a review on almost every kind of toy car, but leaves out the prices of a lot of them.There is almost no selection for hot-wheels, but there is a lot of selection for matchbox.My problem is that I have cars with no model numbers, which makes this book useless.I was able to find ERTL and a few others I had though.
