Inspired Me!
This book really inspired me to look in my garden for new things to make baskets with.I was already using pine needles, but now have expanded. Last fall I gathered iris leaves, iris stems, cattails, rushes andhoneysuckle.Made a few small baskets, and found it is fun (and cheaper)to gather and prepare your own materials.This year, I am adding dandelionstems, daisy and coreopsis stems, paperwhite and lily leaves, yucca leaves(green and already dried),pine roots...what fun!Some of the plantsdescribed in this book are not available in the US, but the myriad ofbeautiful baskets made from dried bulb leaves alone is enough start my headbuzzing with new ideas.Love this book! ... basketwork: new crafts
This book is truley a beginner book.VERY beginner.Since I have had a little expirience, I am always looking for new patterns and ideas.The instructions are clear and helpful for someone who has never woven before. So if you are just interested in a very basic, in and out, got to start somewhere course, this book is for you. Basketwork is beautifully illustrated with very clear instructions and a pretty wide range of projects.However, many of the projects would fall more into the catagory of "crafts" rather than "basketmaking"; like the fish mobile and a wreath.I feel like a better beginner book for someone who is interested in mainly making baskets, is Lynn Silers`, The Basket Book. Still, I think this book is a nice addition to a collection and is beautiful enough to put out on the coffe table.

Aurora Slot Cars
Do not buy this book to "valuate" your cars. This book is all about the history of Aurora. If you are interested in the company, the men, the circumstances, then buy this book. As far as I know it's the only book of its kind and there in lies the value. A great product (T-jets), a unique company (Aurora), an interesting history and well told. I love this book and it's worth every penny.

No real insight into Aurora from this greenburg book
This book has nice pictures, just not enough of them. It gives no insight into Aurora or the rationalization of the pricing valuation structure. After attending Slot Car Swap Meets for the past several years, the book is not even close to the valuation criteria used by diehard collectors. If you use this book to valuate your cars, you will invariable over value common cars, and under value the true rare ones. By the way unless the car is extremly rare, it must be in new condition (not just mint for the age), to have any true collector value at all. Mint for age cars are worthless.
