Pretty disappointing
The author's idea of a "swimmer" bear is to drape a piece of towelling on a bare bear's arm.The "gardener" bear is yet another bare bear, except that the author has purchased children's rubber boots to insert the bear's legs into.The "musician" bear is a bare bear that you have bought a small guitar or some other musical instrument for.Big deal.Didn't need to buy a book to figure out these things.Some of the "costumes" are knitted, and the author assumes that anyone reading this book knows how to knit, when it seems more likely that a bear maker would know how to sew much better and would be more interested in real costuming. ... Sweet little teddy bear book
This little book measures approximately two and a half inches across by three inches high, and contains a series of heart-warming quotations and pictures of teddy bears.It would make an ideal small gift for a child or for someone who collects bears and soft toys as it's beautifully produced and well photographed.

This is the best, esiest pattern book for dolls ever!

Well worth the search!
I like all of Jodie Davis' doll and animal books, but I especially had fun with this one.I enjoyed picking out all my friends' favorite animals and dressing them up.This book features two kinds of stuffed animals: doll-style (upright with an animal head) and animal-style (more realisticlyposed).Both are very cute, and the doll-style patterns include clothing. There is a good variety of projects ranging from cats and pigs to lions androosters.I would rate the patterns at a medium skill level, since some ofthe pieces are a little tricky to fit together, and they call for plasticdoll joints in the arms, legs, and head.I wish the book had colorpictures - the black-and-white ones do not show much detail.Overall,though, this book offers nicely designed patterns with clear instructions.
