An inspiration!
This is one of the best cookbooks I own. My husband is a very picky eater and usually I can use just a few recipes from the whole cookbook, but this one clearly stands out. When just browsing through it for the first time, it made my mouth water and I just couldn't wait to make all these goodies.
Lovely& Practical Large Format Holiday Cookbook
This is a really lovely large format book for holiday baking, entertaining, and gifts from the kitchen. It has little, or perhaps no, redundancy from Bon Appetit magazine, so there is plenty for subscribers and non-subscribers to enjoy. The book has 17 chapters. Four chapters address one entire holiday feast each, with each meal in a different style. Fivechapters provide recipes especially suited for other holiday season festivities such as a tree-trimming supper, a dessert buffet, a cocktail party, and an open house. Other chapters are dedicated to specific types of food, rather than entire meals. These include chapters on: breads, cookies and cranberry sauces as well as Christmas puddings, a buche de noel, an elaborate chocolate cake, and a croquembouche, whose chapters include step-by-step illustrated instructions on how to construct these holiday masterpieces. The "Gifts from the Kitchen" chapter offers an array of 22 recipes for cookies, candies, sauces, jams, breads and more that are easy to make and sure to impress. Every recipe isn't accompanied by a photograph, but there are many large color photos throughout the book. The paper is also of very nice quality. "Bon Appetit Christmas" is a worthy addition to the library of any cook and makes a lovely gift for those who like to bake or entertain.

Best Christmas book
I love Christmas and books on holiday cooking, decorating, customs, and so on. I have a bunch of these books, but Marcia's is my all-time favorite. Her writing is engaging, the photos are lovely, and the recipes anddecorating ideas are terrific. Every year, I pull this book out around theholidays and leaf through it while curled up in front of the fireplace.This book always puts me in a festive mood and is a great resource forplanning holiday gatherings. Holiday Recipes From Breakfast to Late Snacks--Must Try!!
I first checked this book out from the local library and picked out a few recipes to try for Thanksgiving prior to the Christmas holiday parties.I also took it to my mother for her to look at.She began writing down page numbers of recipes she want copies of too.After trying several of the recipes, which for the most part, were very easy, I decided I wanted this book in my home for year round entertaining.The craft and decorating ideas are also wonderful.I especially liked thetomato cage Christmas trees.It was simple to make and when I showed my friends they couldn't believe it--you have to see the pictures in the book to appreciate how simple and elegant they are and so inexpensive to make.For your holiday entertaining I strongly recommend this beautiful book. ... Tease? More like ... the ...opposite of tease
Sandy Lynam Clugh popped her literary cherry brilliantly. "A Cozy Christmas Tea" captures the emotions of holidays and heated caffinated beverages perfectly. While her references to the inappropriate relations between Jerome and his Uncle Larry are a bit grotesque, they do not detract from the overall experience, which shimmers with literary poise. It touched me in a way that even Uncle Larry couldn't touch Jerome. In fact, it brought back poignant memories of my childhood. It's too bad I haven't seen my Aunt Greta in years, we had a very close relationship when I was 12.
More like A Cozy Christmas Tease
Gosh what a horrible book.It recieved such great press from the New York Times:"Standout newcomer Sandy Lynam Clough hits a lead off home run with her virgin release "A Cozy Christmas Tea"."Little did I know, this is actually an erotic thriller with a highly deceptive title.Perhaps I should have listened to the New Orleans Book Review which described Clough's first release as, "a raunchy depiction of inner city incest from the point of view of an immature 12 year old."This depicts the true nature of the book more aptly.I think maybe the New York Times thought they were reviewing Joyce's, "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man."That book was awesome.Yep.Read that one instead.This book blows.Seriously, ew. ... Don't bother...
I am glad that I didn't pay full price for this book. These are the same ideas that you have seen in every other book on homemade Christmas gifts. Most of these I wouldn't even make as they look cheap.If you want a good book on this subject, try The Spirit of Christmas by Leisure Arts

Christmas Cooking Made Easy and Scrumptious!
The Cook's Encyclopedia of Christmas s an excellent fountain of recipes. It covers all kinds of Christmas, including vegetarian. A great Christmas decorating and craft book
Although I have seen a few of the Victoria books, I must say that this issue was mildly disappointing in compared with previous editions.I really think volume 3 was by far the best of the bunch. Holiday magic
I loved this book. The recipes are terrific, the ideas are helpful, and the photos are so pretty the season's special moodcomes alive. Even in August it made me feel the spirit of Christmas, and on a sunny summer day, that's saying something!

Long on looks, short on information

A stalwart at Christmas time.
I've owned this book for years and utterly rely on it during the madness that is Christmas.Beautiful traditional recipes and some different twists on Christmas lunch/dinner.

A great holiday tradition
My mother gave me this book when my kids were little.They are teenagers now and still love to hear the stories each year.It is a treasured family tradition that reminds us daily of the real reason to celebrate Christmas.I am ordering it now for my staff as gifts this year.

I have most of the books in this series and each one is a delight. Full of ideas for making the gifts you give really stand out. When I make something from one of these books I always take the recipe with me.. I know I will beasked for it! The only draw back is that some of the recipes call forseveral ingredients and unless you have a well stocked pantry it can be atad costly. However do not let that stop you.
