The One Stop Shop Book
I loved the Instyle Weddings Edition.It was very thorough and nice hard cover quality.I would definately recommend this to all bride and grooms to be!

Wow! What a book!
I saw this book in Amazon together with Martha Stewart's Wedding Book and since I admire Style's Wedding magazine, I decided to purchase this book. What a great find! It has ideas on every aspect of the wedding. Lots of very cool ideas. I particularly like the ideas for photos and beauty. Definitely worth it.

Beautiful Book for Budding Bridezillas
If you are planning a monster wedding (you know who you are, Bridezilla) this is the manual of choice. "In Style: Weddings" uses their format of large, beautiful photographs and snappy sections on everything from what the best man does in the wedding to how to do your makeup for the big day.

This is a great planner!
A few friends of mine went through planning a wedding and they shared later that it was almost a nightmare because there are sooooo many things that you have to plan and organize usually on the run. I am in a committed relationship from so long but didn't feel good enough in bed to propose her. After I turned from average into a great lover thanks to the bestseller Scientfically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex, I eagerly selected this book for the planning. After all if you do THIS part of the process right, it will be easier during the organization of the event. Carley Roney and the guys from the site did a great job and reveal step-by-step how to plan everything in great details. There are numerous glossaries, worksheets, and tips that make this book a must have. It is very affordable and I am sure that it is one of the books that will help you to start your new life as a couple in the best way.

Unreasonable
I've read three different wedding planning books, and this one is absolutely the worst.I actually took this book quite seriously when I first began planning my wedding, but then after going through all the different tasks involved with planning the wedding, I re-read the book to see if I missed anything or could do anything better.After spending a few hours re-reading this book, I was shocked at all the misleading information in it... not to mention the snobbiness of the person/people who wrote it!I was so mad I almost threw this useless book straight in the garbage!
I have never received this book
I ordered this book in June and here it is August and I have never received it. I never have any problems with the private dealers they are prompt and efficient. Don't know why it should be any different from amazon. Last tracking I could find on it was in Phila. some where. I don't live in Phila., nor do I have time to spend tracking. *****The best wedding saver resource out there****
I bought this book about a year ago right after I got engaged.Since then I am constantly amazed at how much research and collaboration the authors have done on this book.I have spent hours in books store flipping through all the wedding books and have found that hands down this is the best out there if you are wanting to save some money and get the best bargain.I am definitely recommending this book to all my friends and everyone planning a wedding.

Great book
I have to admit, I plan events for a living (Fundraisers & Corporate events, but no clue on wedding planning) so I figured I needed something to "enlight me" and I bought this book from this website I have to say I love it! I has awesome ideas, obviously you might not agree with every single thing in it, but still, some of the ideas are great. Also, the book is kind of funny, the writers are great. I hightly recomend it.

Bridal Bargains is a great help!
There are so many factors that go into wedding planning, it can be overwhelming!I bought this book because I have a rather modest budget, but still want my special day to be, well, special.There are dozens of great tips, and tons of information - things I never would have thought of myself.My only complaint is the size and shape of the book itself - I suppose it's long and narrow to fit into a tote, but instead its a little difficult to deal with.Of course, this doesn't have anything to do with what's inside!I highly recommend this book! ... No More Happily Ever After
I'm writing this after the news that the couple have split.
Sad
I actually feel sorry for Jessica.She reminds me of Jennifer Lopez in that she is always striving one way or another to get the attention of the public, regardless, of how it affects those around her.This book is another self indulgent compliment to her narcisstic self as the book cover confirms.Personally, I don't find her really that beautiful.I can't help feeling Nick felt ripped off marrying this doll of the media.Good luck to them both.What happens after the dream wedding is achieved?Will they both live happily ever after in their day-to-day regular life as a married couple?I guess we all know the answer.

Becoming a Wedding Planner
I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone interested in becoming a wedding planner. I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble if I had purchased this book before I started my own research. Amazing book!!

Wedding Planner/Coordinator Guide
I loved this book because it didn't totally focus on the aspect of becoming a wedding planner, but also the more silent topics.It provided me with perfect examples of purchase orders, service requests, billing, and the how to's of marketing my future business.One can apply the information in this book to almost any personal business with a little tweeking of words and services, of course....Highly recommend the FabJob Guide to becoming anything your heart desires!!!

Dynamite!
For the size and intent, this is the best book on the market. If you are thiking of becoming a professional wedding planner, this introductory book covers all the things you will have to learn. What it doesn't cover in detail, it points you in the direction of where you can find more information, with recommended websites and book titles. What it won't do, however, is teach you all the minute and various specific details that apply to your market and jurisdiction. As with any business, you still have to do a lot of legwork before you can actually make any money. Fantastic!
I absolutely adore this book!I would be nowhere in my wedding planning without it.To make things a bit easier, though, I took out the comb, three-hole punched it and put it into a 3-ring binder.I also bought some folders and some stick-on tabs, hole punched the folders and organized it all in the binder.Now?Now I carry this thing EVERYWHERE!The lists for inputting information about vendors and receptions sites and everything are a GODSEND, and I have tons of photocopies of each of them in the binder.I've ended up with a few other crappy wedding planners, and none of them even compare to this one.I haven't even so much as looked at the other ones since I got this one!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Not as Useful as We Expected
This was the first book I bought when my daughter became engaged. I didn't find it very useful, and neither the bride nor the groom ever looked at it. It has long lists of "things to consider", including things like handing out nail polish to bridesmaids. Then there are "dos and don'ts", including things like "don't be controlling." There are many worksheets, and separate pages listing duties for each person in the wedding party, including the flower girl and ring bearer. This might be something for the nervous bride who needs to feel sure that she has thought of absolutely everything, or it might simply make you nervous. It is not a fun book, and we found that many of the pretty coffee table bridal books included all the necessary forms and checklists.

Great book with lots of pictures for ideas!
This book was very helpful in helping me plan for my wedding.Although it doesn't have any tabs for each area of a wedding, it would have been a big help so that I wouldn't have to thumb through the book to search for specifics.Has great outlines to follow and good for self planned weddings. There are better things out there
I got this planner free when my fiance bought my engagement ring at Jared.I was very excited to get it, thinking it would be so helpful.Last night, I started putting it together (we just got engaged a week ago).As others have mentioned, the pages aren't seperated into the tabs.Well, as it turns out, the tabs pull double duty - so, Ceremony and Flowers are the same tab - the front has a pocket for ceremony stuff and the back has a pocket for flower stuff - but there are two seperate sections for the ceremony and the flowers.Which means you would always be searching for where the flower section starts.Why didn't they just double the tabs or really combine the sections?
This thing is a life saver!!!!!
I was keeping everything in a folder which was starting to get out of control, so my Maid of Honor gave this organizer and I loved it! One of my bridesmaids has even asked me where to get one just like it for her planning!A tip...Amazon has it for the best price!

If your planner hasn't read this....
I am a wedding planner (eventsbykaren@hotmail.com) and if you aren't using a planner, you are nuts, and if you are and they haven't read this book, they are nuts!All people planning a wedding should read this book.Even if you don't read it and only use it as a reference then you still should buy this book.A wedding is a one shot deal and if you haven't planned one before, trust me, you have NO IDEA what it takes!There is a reason why planners make good money.This is one book that I recommened to all brides, mothers, fiances, and planners regardless of if you are using a coordinator or not.

Best wedding book yet!
If you are on a mission to plan a fantastic wedding, this is the book to read.This is the 3rd wedding book I have read in the last few months, and by far the most useful!It has great advice on how to get organized and plan the perfect wedding.I would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding.

Looked far and Wide

Amazing ideas - DIY that doesn't look it
I checked this book out from the library but would have had to photocopy so many pages I decided to buy it. It has great, trendy ideas for the modern bride. Some may be hard, too time consuming, etc. but it's not the fru-fru stuff that Martha Stewart does, it actually looks good. If you want to have your own touches, this book is great. Excellent wedding source
This book was the number one resource for us while we were planning our wedding. We had many wedding magazines and books, but this was the by far the best. Eventually the others were pushed aside and we relied on this as our only source. There are many great tips for weddings of all types and sizes. The authors gave great advice and tips while offering humor (which is well-needed during the stressful times such as narrowing down the guest list). words to the wise
It certainly covers a lot of ground, evenly and fairly concisely.I am an older male and I read a lot, but knew absolutely nothing about weddings.My partner suggested I buy the book,wise woman .If you are a man and feel trepidation around this largely female undertaking, read this book, and read it well.It is up to date and as a core virtue is not attached to selling you something you do not want or cannot afford.It only asks that you be satisfied and happy with your informed choice.Besides covering the rather effete items such as dress,and who goes where when, the nitty gritty onprenups, how to handle the caterers and who gets paid when, are also included. Read it again as the weddingdetails and decisions start to fall into place and you will be of some help to yourself as well as her.Occasionally you will be asked what you think.Occasionally you will have to weigh in to save your sanity.These things do need planning input by guys,and its a life learning experience -for most of us pleasantly, I hope!If you put yourself out of the loop, you really are a dummy. Together you actually can do it, and this is a good exercise.

Fine Simplicity
The books offers simple, colorful pictures to indulge yourself in and set up in the most organized fashion.I was surprised at how much information it actually offered once I started reading the book.The text goes beyond the design efforts of the wedding and takes you into the scheduling of the wedding, the tasks that will be developed throughout the preparation of the wedding, wedding day preparations, tips on selecting the the venue & dealing with the people involved and just basic advice on every single detail.I found the book very helpful since it was seperated in different chapters according to the type of venues.The floral ideas were amazing since it offered simplicity using color tactics rather than quantity tactics.I only wished there were more weddings per each theme to compare.Such as three different 'vineyard' weddings, so it would offer more ideas within each particular theme.

MVP for Wedding Ideas
The philosphy of this book is even more useful than the stunning pictures are. When I was planning my weding, it was so easy to be overwhelmed with the choices and ideas available. This book offers a 1-2-3 approach than can simplify some of the decision-making, at least as far as decor is concerned. While I too was occasionally frustrated by my location not fitting into any of the "themes" given, the point of the book is to inspire brides to work WITH their locations, rather than against them. By doing so, I saved a lot of time, effort, and money by not trying to make my location into a castle or a country club when it was a renovated school, but rather embracing the beauty of the architecture and gardens already there.
Great book - great ideas!
This is a beautiful book that contains many wonderful ideas aimed at people who are "coordinating" their own wedding.It offers many different and simple solutions that not only cost less than traditional methods, but look beautiful as well.My only complaint is that the book is sectioned out by ceremony/reception location and if your location is not among those listed, it requires you to cross-reference to other sections to find ideas that would work.Also, the website that you are sent to for more information not listed in the back is not helpful. ... Detailed, valuable and highly recommended!
I am very pleased with the entire content of this organizer. There are plenty of worksheets, tips, tricks and insider secrets to turn your wedding into a memorable event. I am in a committed relationship from so long but didn't feel good enough in bed to propose her. After I turned from average into a great lover thanks to the bestseller scientfically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex, I eagerly picked this book. I read it in a few days and I want to congratulate Laura Morin for her hard and excellent work. It is an achievement to track down every single thing that should be considered and done before, during and after a wedding! According to me this book goes way beyond an "organizer". It is like a very knowledgeable friend who determinately points you the driver's seat right from the beginning and doesn't allow you to look back or coward. I thank the author for believing in the reader and empowering us to organize everything up to our highest expectations whatever they are. There are hundreds of thousands books on the market but this is one of the few gems that I feel confident to highly recommend.

Outdated and negative
I thought this book had completely the wrong attitude to wedding planning - it's written in a way that's meant to make you panic and it really talks down to you. Consider this extract from page 16:

Save the Money for your Wedding
I was very diappointed.I found very little money saving tips in this book.I wanted to find ways to have everything I want and still save money. This book mostly tells you to cut things out or ask guests to do stuff for you. I would not recommend it at all.

Well worth reading
I bought and read this book when my youngest daughter began planning her wedding. She had 3 years to plan so we had a lot of time to consider the suggestions in the book. She planned her wedding with the guidelines suggested in the book. I dont think it would have been as helpful if we had less time to plan. This book is not going to give you a detailed list of how to spend only 5000. It gives you ideas on how to cut cost in areas that are inconsequential. It still takes time to locate reasonable vendors, and you HAVE to either cut down on your guest list or offer a less formal reception. I would recommend this book to anyone that needs to keep costs down.

Not like the magazine at all
I wish I hadn't bought this book.I love the magazine so I was hoping that the book would be like a whole bunch of the magazines condensed into one huge helpful book.Unfortunately, that is not the case.
The Best of MS Living Weddings
The pictures are wonderful but the specifics are very limited. I think this book is a wonderful place to start to get ideas for colors, style, etc. but you will need more specific information to actually plan a wedding.

Pretty Darn Good!!!
I bought this wedding planner for my nanny. I used the free one from State Farm, which they give to their insured, and that was okay. I splurged for her because she was completely unorganized. Within a few days she started bringing it to the house with all her paper work. I could hear her making her calls and checking off her lists. I asked her and she said it was very good. She had a planner form Barns and Noble and it was completely useless. The only complaint she had was the same as everyone else...having to photocopy the guest list. I can see if you are having 300 people, but there is only one page. I think for the money you should get enough for your average sized wedding. Other than that, it's great. Intimate Weddings: Planning a small wedding that fits you budget and style
I thought it had many good ideas, although some were unrealistic.

Great resource for having a small wedding
I especially liked reading about the experiences of others' "real-life" weddings - getting ideas from what they did, seeing the breakdown of their budget - it really helped set realistic goals for my own budget.Well worth the time and money to read this book.

Not a single thing I would do
Thank goodness I checked this book out from the library before buying it!I flipped through the whole 250-page book in literally 15 minutes.There is a ton of print in teeny tiny font.Personally, I don't care that much for what Colin Cowie has to say, I am more interested in the pictures that he gathers to give a visual image of a wedding.I didn't read any of it because it was so small and there seemed to be so much that I can only imagine how much useless filler was in there.
I got this book for a different reason
While this book is a FANTASTIC book for those who want inspiration for those starting a wedding... I bought this book for an entirely different reason. I am an artist and I am always looking for books with fantastic photography to help inspire my drawings and paintings. This book has some AMAZING photography and has some absolutely sensual moments. The mood is set throughout the book, very full of life and sensuality and unbelievably fresh. The array of flowers, the silkiness of the dresses, the ambience of the swagging fabrics, the smoothness of the linen tablecloths, it is all eye candy.

Planning a medieval Party?
If you are planning a Medieval Celebration of any kind this is a great book to buy. My Fiancee and I have been looking for medieval books to plan our wedding by and I stumbled across this one its been very helpful and I'm sure it will get alot of use. It has many tradations recipes and lots of fun games a must have.

So-So Information for Event Planning
My fiance and I purchased this book as we are planning a medieval wedding. The title and description of this book implied that we would find lots of valuable information on that topic. Well, we found lots of valuable information for feast planning, or putting on a re-enactment (a la Society for Creative Anachronism), and very little concerning period wedding traditions. The most interesting parts were the recipes/redactions and the instructions for medieval dance steps. There are also several pages that contain sheet music for period songs. If you are looking to put on a reenactment or feast, this is the book for you. If you are looking for anything else, I suggest you look elsewhere. ... Read more

Great help for an MOG
After relying heavily on Sharon Naylor's "Mother of the Bride" book for my daugher's wedding last year, I am just as impressed with her new book just in time for my son's wedding next summer. Great, practical tips for an odd situation as an MOG.
